Individual Therapy
I provide support for individual adults ages 18 and up in Washington state. Some of the concerns that I regularly work with include anxiety, depression, grief, relationship and interpersonal issues, and identity issues (e.g. gender, sexuality, relationship to self). I tend to work well with clients who are ready for change, motivated to attend therapy, and willing to engage in deep, explorative work.
I typically meet with individuals on a weekly basis. My approach is informed by psychodynamic psychotherapy, queer and feminist theory, and existential-humanistic therapy. This means that during therapy we will explore conflicts within your self, your values, and your relationships that are leading you to struggle in various aspects of your life, and work together to develop more values-based and authentic responses.
Relationship Therapy
I work with couples and other relationship structures to provide support for concerns with communication, conflict resolution, relationship transitions, and sex and intimacy issues. I utilize approaches drawing from attachment theory and differentiation theory to help couples identify strategies for concrete behavioral change while increasing their ability to attune to one another emotionally.
I am a good fit for couples who are committed to self-reflection, open to making individual changes to support their relationship, and willing to try new things outside of session. I enjoy working with non-traditional partnerships and couples who are seeking to break generational patterns within their current relationships.
